From my family to yours, I want to wish each and every one of you a safe and fun-filled Memorial Day weekend. I want to recognize the significance of this special holiday weekend. We are remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice by paying with their lives to protect this country. Our thoughts and prayers are also with our service men and women who continue to serve so that we can enjoy the basic freedoms of our country.
As you gather with friends and family, understand that while we many of us are faced with challenging situations that seem to have no end, we must continue to work together and support one another to see this through. 2010 so far has met us with many challenges globally, nationally, and right here in our state. But as Nevadans, we will continue to fight to protect our future and the future of generations to come. It will be because of our strength and perseverance that we win together in our Nevada!

Duties: To perform various tasks relating to policy research & development, constituent services/outreach, and field organizing. Hours will vary depending on project and candidate. Computer skills (excel; WORD; voter file) are needed. We will also need someone who has a flexible schedule, reliable transportation, and able to multi-task well. While this internship is unpaid, it will be a great learning opportunity and also a vehicle to gain valuable insight and experience into the political process. This is an ideal position for upper level or graduate students. But all are encouraged to apply. Political experience is not a requirement for this internship.
